Q. Is every training session that is delivered exactly the same?
No. Our trainers will identify the delegates experience and individual needs from our service and then work to tailor the session to meet these needs.
Q. What levels of training do you offer for delegates of different experience levels?
We can offer Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level training. As a guideline these respective levels would cover:
A Lexis Library Beginner training session is designed to give an introduction to the service and how to use it effectively and efficiently.
Key elements of the session are:
Easy searching and browsing techniques, enabling the user to retrieve targeted and relevant results;
Key content and functionality;
How to deliver documents, ensuring you have the right results in the format of your choice.
A Lexis Library Intermediate training session is designed to build on existing knowledge and also help the delegate to customise the service to meet their individual needs.
The session will cover:
- Searching and browsing techniques
- Working in depth with results, including grouping, delivering and saving searches
- Setting up alerts and Practice Area specific updates
A LexisNexis Advanced training session is designed for anyone looking to become an expert user of our service, or who needs to undertake in-depth research.
The session will cover:
- Creating source files enabling you to save your choice of sources and searching them when you want, simply and quickly
- Running advanced searches, utilising advanced connectors. This will ensure you can find the results you need, when you need them.
- Adding and utilising topics to your searching, making sure you gain the benefit from the full Lexis Library coverage
Q. Do we have to pay for Training?
All training material available on this website is complimentary and is available to you as part of your subscription to your LexisNexis service. We offer a number of complimentary training options. Please speak to your internal LexisNexis account contact, or to your LexisNexis Account Manager, regarding your training allocations.

Q. What is WebEx?
Webex is an online meeting space that we at LexisNexis subscribe to. It means we can offer training to our customers online, utilising both internet and conference call facilities. Our delegates can be located anywhere in the world. Webex is easy to install on your computer via a link in an email invite. The power of Webex is that anyone taking part in this training does not need to leave the comfort of their own desk but still gets the benefit of observing a trainer-led demonstration.

Q. Do you provide training for visibility impaired/blind users?
The Customer Training Department provides training on our platforms using the JAWS screen reader for visibility impaired/blind users. .
Q. Are your courses CPD accredited through the Solicitors Regulation Authority?
Yes they are! You can claim one CPD point for each hour of LexisNexis training attended that has been delivered by one of our Trainers. This will count towards the requirement that a minimum of 25% of CPD is to be achieved via accredited training courses.
Time spent using our learning modules can count towards the remainder of your continuing professional development requirement.
